But this story is not about the director, but about a woman struggling with loneliness, keeping love in her heart with all her might. The protagonist exists in episodes of the film without author's comments. Also, the plot is made up of fragments, "snippets" of old films, chronicles.

In the north of Russia, far beyond the Arctic Circle, on the shores of the White Sea, on the Kanin Peninsula, there is an amazing settlement. The houses in it, almost to the very roofs, are covered with sand, and the streets are somewhere deep under the sand dunes. From afar, this village can be mistaken for an abandoned one. But people live there. Which spend all their time, all their strength on the battle with the desert advancing on them from the White Sea. The film tells the story of the dramatic transformation of the prosperous fishing village of Shoyna into a dying village, almost completely buried in the sands.

Documentary film 'Mustafa' shows the history of the Crimean Tatars leader's, Mustafa Dzhemilev, which is a symbol of peaceful resistance against injustice and discrimination. It includes his struggle for returning to Crimea from the exile places during the Soviet Union, the trial course against him, his experience of over 15 years as a political prisoner in a Soviet labor camps and his long hunger strike as the longest hunger strike human history.

Asino (Italian for donkey) is an epic ode to this beast of burden. The donkey has a long cultural history dating back to Greek mythology and the Bible: Jesus rode into Jerusalem on one; Sancho Panza had a loyal donkey; Winnie the Pooh was friends with the dejected Eeyore. Donkeys stand for stupidity, stubbornness and humility. Asino consists of eight novellas, approximately 20 minutes each. Shot in Italy, Vasiliev's film teeters between reality and allegory, asking viewers to reflect on what they see. The chapter titles (Bacchus, Medea, etc.) and quotes from Apuleius, Pirandello and Aeschylus provide context. The third novella documents the donkey worship in Alba, Italy, where donkey races are held during the Palio. In Asino, donkeys are simultaneously domesticated animals, humans and divine, mythological creatures, so in a sense the film summarises the beast’s role in Western culture.

Pan Trzhiska, a film enthusiast and musician, decided to go to his grandfather's "places of military glory" on the Trans-Siberian Express. His journey, his encounters with Russians, his reflections on democracy, the KGB, freedom and philosophy form the basis of this documentary comedy road movie.

Alexei Navalny began his election campaign in the regions of Russia with a trip to Murmansk. Thousands of citizens came to his rally, and in the rain. This is the success of local activists who organized the rally and campaigned selflessly. Alexander Rastorguev and Dmitry Kuvaldin spent several days with Navalny's Murmansk headquarters coordinator Violetta Grudina, an LGBT activist who was attacked because of her sexual orientation.
