About the life and creative path of the Ural poet Alexei Reshetov. For most of his conscious life, he worked as an electrician at one of the potash mines in the city of Berezniki. There he began to write poetry and publish a little, first in local newspapers, then in Perm and Yekaterinburg. He never lived to see the glory of the capital and great regalia, but he managed to exert a strong influence on the spiritual development of several generations of local residents.

On May 1, 2006, a crime took place in Kursk, which struck all the inhabitants of the region. A shrine was stolen, or rather a list of the miraculous icon of the Mother of God "The Sign". According to legend, in 1295, on the day of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, she was found on the root of a tree not far from Kursk, burnt by the Tatars, so she received the name Kursk Root. Many miracles are attributed to the icon. She saved Kursk from hunger in the early 17th century and healed thousands of sick people. One of them was the youth Prokhor Moshnin, who later became the greatest Russian saint Seraphim of Sarov. The shrine survived several assassination attempts, it was chopped down with an ax, burned, and blown up. But she survived! In 1920, the "Sign" icon was taken out of the country by the troops of Baron Wrangel. Today it is located in New York and is considered the main shrine of the Russian Church Abroad. And the list remaining in Kursk is the center of attraction for believers and pilgrims all over Russia. For 400 years, twice a year, in June and September, the icon "The Sign", and then its list, are transferred by the procession from the Root Hermitage to the Znamensky Monastery of Kursk and back. Due to the theft of the shrine, for the first time in hundreds of years, the summer religious procession could not take place. Did the thief understand what he was aiming at? All the police forces of the Kursk region were sent in search of the relic. And after 40 days she was found in Moscow. The tradition was not broken, and the believers regained their shrine.

In September 1943, 40 children aged 6 to 13 were delivered to the German officers' hospital in the village of Starotitarovskaya, from whom doctors pumped out blood for transfusion to wounded German officers. As a result of this operation, all the children died. This is just one of the heinous crimes that the commander of the German occupation forces in the Crimea, General Erwin Eneke, and 11 other German officers at the Sevastopol trial were accused of.

This film is a response to the quiet tragedy of globalization: the loss of identity. We witness how one person, through physical labor and faith, revives the cultural code of his lineage, transforming his native village from a symbol of the past into a project for the future. It is a manifesto about the possibility of renewal — if the memory of one’s ancestors is taken into one’s own hands.

How did a former convict and future co-founder of the buffer Far Eastern Republic first end up on Lake Baikal, and then share a Petrograd living space with Lenin himself? What did the Buddhist lama Agvan Dorzhiev warn Lunacharsky and the Bolsheviks against? What happened to the Buryat plant that made the best cement east of the Urals? The film tells about the role of some natives, residents and historical "guests" of the Baikal region in the large-scale transformations of the revolutionary year of 1917 in Russia.

On August 12, 1944, German soldiers of the 16th SS division drove the local residents of the mountainous Tuscan village of Santa Anna di Stazzema to the main square in front of the church. Old people, children, women. The men hid in the woods, there was a rumor that the Germans would come to select strong guys for forced labor in Germany. Having gathered people at the church, the SS men placed machine guns. The priest Innocenzo Lazzeri tried to reason with the invaders, he offered his life in exchange for the life of the parishioners. He was killed first, by a point-blank shot to the head. Then they shot all the rest, 132 people, from machine guns. In total, almost 600 civilians died in the vicinity of Santa Anna that day.

Sometimes it's good to fly for a short time from a huge city to a country where a fresh breeze from the ocean cleanses the lungs, and the weather changes almost every minute; where clouds of steam come out of the ground and you can swim in the open air in warm geothermal water, while snow lies around. To a country where there seem to be more sheep than people. Fly away to where calm "lunar" landscapes promote meditation, and fresh thoughts come to mind.

The lavender field is the perfect place for beautiful photos. The owners of the local "Provence" in the Krasnodar Territory grow a whole bunch of aromatic herbs for a variety of delicious products. Eclairs, cheesecakes, drinks at a local shop, all on lavender and rose. Such a place miraculously arose between Anapa and Novorossiysk. Anton Sidorov, together with his wife Tatyana, sons Adrian and Platon, moved from Moscow to be closer to nature and create their own, unique and real.
