Outside in 2012. The agreed-upon rally on May 6 on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow is violently dispersed by riot police. This is a rally of those who disagree with the results of the presidential election, which Putin won. The protagonist of the film, an activist of the movement "Solidarity" Vsevolod Chernozub decides to stand on Bolotnaya to the end. Neither he nor the other participants in the rally have any idea how events will develop further. Seva is young and confident in the victory of a peaceful protest. He was one of the organizers of the first march on December 5, 2011 after the elections to the State Duma, from that day a wave of protests began in Moscow and Russia. Seva and his comrades are trying to figure out how to act now that so many people are chanting, "Fair elections!" They want to set up a tent city on Pushkinskaya Square the day after the presidential election and push society towards a peaceful regime change. This film is a nostalgia for those times when you could go out into the street and chant "Russia without Putin." This is an attempt to find in the recent past the answer to the main question of today.

300 years ago, the reform of the Russian Orthodox Church led to the persecution of all those who were against innovations. Many Old Believers were killed or fled to the uninhabited outskirts, even abroad. This film is a portrait of a small Old Believer community. The ancestors of its members settled three centuries ago on Lake Peipus on the border of Estonia and Russia. They live almost the same as they did two hundred years ago, grow onions and fish in the lake. They are not in danger from the homeland of their ancestors, it is literally on the other side of the lake and history. This past. A much greater danger is modernity.

This is a story about grown children. Adults in their 10 years. Cigarettes and alcohol, rudeness and childish immediacy, these few words can describe the world in which Nikita lives. He has 4 grades of elementary school behind him, but now it’s not up to school anymore, he has to earn money and take care of his alcoholic mother. Nikitin's comrades are also "children of the streets." What we called "happy childhood" seems to be losing relevance. And does Nikita need it?

For censorship reasons, it was closed in 1972, and was revived only in 1986. But even without the air, KVN existed on student and amateur stages, lived, developed, changed with time and country. There is not a single similar television centenarian in the world. So who are they, the inventors of this "perpetual motion machine" Muratov, Yakovlev and Axelrod?

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Natasha immigrates as a child with her family to Germany. The film begins today, twenty years later, when Natasha returns for the first time to her unknown home. Natasha's time in Baikal Port is mainly structured through her everyday encounters with the people who live there. In different situations, she meets them and gets into conversations about employment and living conditions that are still marked by the effects of the Perestroika. While Natasha gains these intimate insights into different ways of living, she reflects on her own position and tries to make a connection with this place, which is a part of her identity. The cinematic drawing of intimate portraits of people living in Baikal Port as well as Natasha’s play- acting as a returning, identity-seeking figure is accompanied by an ever-present recording camera. It shakes, zooms and focuses, it behaves like an autonomous body. This always raises the question of who is the actual experiencing body of this journey – the person behind or in front of the camera?
