Climbing the tower, the artist Igor Makarevich builds a path along the figurative tower which is one of the most frequent and important motives of his work. The artist is followed by a character created by him which appears in the film as a subjective view. tThrough his works Makarevich speaks on such often taboo topics as death and madness, without leaving a subtle irony and lyrical outlook on things.

The author dedicated this drama to his countrymen, builders and metallurgists of the famous Magnitka. The giant plant saved the country during the Great Patriotic War, strengthened its power in peacetime. No one spoke or thought about the price. Through the prism of his own childhood impressions, the author shows the history of his native city, talking about the inhuman conditions of life for several generations, about how a fairy tale became a reality in the “city of dreams”.

On December 23, 2020, the smelting shop in the village of Nikel carried out the last melting and was stopped forever. The workshop began to be built back in the 30s, when this territory belonged to Finland, and the village was then called Kolosjoki. At the end of World War II, when the territory was ceded to the Soviet Union, the destroyed plant was restored, and the village was named Nikel. It is located west of Murmansk, a few kilometers from the Norwegian border. In the 1980s, the plant emitted about 400 thousand tons of sulfur dioxide into the air per year, and in 1990 an environmental campaign was even launched in Norway to Stop the Soviet Death Clouds. The Norilsk Nickel company, which took over the mining and metallurgical plant in Nikel in the 1990s, initially agreed with Norway on the modernization of enterprises on the Kola Peninsula, but then abandoned the program. In the end, Norilsk Nickel, the largest supplier of non-ferrous metals to the world market, decided to close the smelter on the border with Norway, promising workers social guarantees, transfer to other company enterprises, retraining, pensions, and a small business development program for the village and, for example, industrial tourism.

A man who is sure that women stopped making love and flew to another planet. A hero who mistakes self-pity for personal success. The girl who lost the unequal battle with her own boredom. A husband who sacrifices his wife's health to avoid arguing with her. A lonely woman who refused to see her loved ones, so as not to be like everyone else. What do these people have in common? The film consists of a series of self-disclosures, striking in their sincerity. The picture is permeated with the poetry of the emptiness of a huge city, Moscow.

In 2005, Mikhail Khodorkovsky was found guilty of economic crimes and sentenced to 11 years in prison. But this film is not about the most famous political prisoner. This is the reaction of the Russian population to the arrest of Khodorkovsky, recorded conversations on the streets of different cities with the first passers-by. People's mercilessness, the desire for blood, the joyful readiness to administer lynching themselves, saving the fatherland, over all who are smarter, richer, freer, over Jews and people of a different mentality, such is a frighteningly objective assessment of a country whose future may never come.

Film "Anna. Kill a Journalist” is dedicated to the well-known journalist and human rights activist Anna Politkovskaya, who died at the hands of criminals. In the film about Anna Politkovskaya, her colleagues, and most importantly, the protagonists of her publications, are remembered: mothers whose children suffered; wives whose husbands died in Chechnya or became victims of terrorist acts; women whose loved ones have lost their lives. One of the women was prevented from committing suicide by an article about her dead son, while another gave her the strength to fight. The audience was finally able to understand who Anna was for those she wrote about. She knew how to take on the suffering of others, they went to her when there was nowhere else to go.
