The queen of Russian silent cinema, Vera Kholodnaya, was only 26 years old. Of these, she starred only 4 years. Of her more than 50 films, only 5 have survived, but she is not only remembered, she is revered. Vera Kholodnaya was a real star of Russian cinema. There were no others like her. To be smart, and beautiful, and pure, and talented, and happy, and loved by everyone. The film is built on the memoirs of Vera Kholodnaya and people who knew her well, as well as on materials from newspapers and magazines of the 10s and 20s. The film features A. Vertinsky's songs dedicated to Vera Kholodnaya.

“Long echo” – does it refer to the explosion not far from the town? Or to the time when people searched for a new idea for their country? Or is it rather the long echo of Soviet mentality that led to this bloody conflict? The film portrays the town Dobropolye, in Eastern Ukraine – 70 km from the border with the breakaway republics – and some of its people against the backdrop of the war. The characters are inventive and gripping despite their many hardships: they set up a singles club, build a zoo with chameleons, play in a heavy metal band and drive a taxi. The film shows a region that was on our minds for many months, not only in Europe. It shows people on the periphery of the war, how it changed their daily lives and how people react to both their new and old needs. Their struggle for survival is sometimes marked by quirky moments that give the film an unexpected lightness. The two directors Veronika Glasunowa and Lukasz Lakomy started with the preparations for the movie long before the war. This enabled them to build a relationship of trust which endured in wartime, and it helped them obtain extraordinary insights.

The place where the film was shot is no longer on the world map. The village of Kezhma, where the main character of the film, Tamara, was born and lived for half a century, was destroyed and burned down. Tamara returns for the last time to enjoy fishing on the Angara and look at the huge wasteland that was her home recently. Say goodbye forever. In a few months, this place will go under the water of the reservoir of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station. The loss of the homeland by Tamara is the price of our well-being. Isn't the price too high?

The twentieth century mocked the Russian village in full. Millions of peasant lives were claimed first by the First and then the Second World Wars. The people were deprived of their faith, dispossessed of kulaks, and taxed with exorbitant taxes. Ill-conceived experiments almost finished the village, which does not live today, but for the most part survives. In place of a number of Russian villages founded back in the 17th and 18th centuries, now there are only wastelands. Today we do not associate the life of very old people living in the Russian outback with the concept of "happiness", but they had it.

The authors began to shoot this film even before Russia started the war against Ukraine. They wanted to talk about people who, in the situation of “freedom shutdown” in Russia, continue to do their good and decent work. However, life (and Vladimir Putin) made serious adjustments to the script. Russia sent troops to Ukraine, journalism was actually banned in the country, human rights protection was destroyed. Many of the protagonists of the film faced a terrible choice, how to continue to live and work when your life and your work in Russia are now criminal by definition? The authors continued to shoot the end of the broadcast of "Echo" and the defeat of "Dozhd", searches in the "Memorial" and the termination of the release of "Novaya". Birth of "Novaya Gazeta. Europe”, the renewed first broadcasts of “Dozhd”, the honest and dangerous work of many colleagues from abroad. This film is a unique historical document, a cast of tragedy. This film is about the trouble that happened to Russia and was filmed in real time. Chronicle of a diving country.

It just seems that to become a great artist, it is enough to quit the stock exchange office, go far away to a tropical island and change the top hat for a loincloth. And that's it, Paul Gauguin is ready. No, not all. He also needs a woman, in this case just a girl, Tehura, who will open the earthly paradise of Tahiti to him. Gauguin is a genius, but he could not invent Tekhura. He could only write it off with his beloved.

The film tells about the famous monument to the Soviet liberator "Alyosha" in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv. The idea to build a monument in honor of the Soviet soldiers-liberators on the Bunardzhik hill was born by the inhabitants of Plovdiv back in 1948. The initiative came entirely "from below", from the people, without any recommendation "from above". On May 9, 1948, the Citywide Initiative Committee for the construction of a monument to Soviet soldiers was created, which included public figures, architects, artists, writers and teachers. It was headed by the head of the Plovdiv military garrison, General Asen Grekov. On the same day, the symbolic laying of the foundation of the monument was made.
