The film tells about one of the most mysterious peoples of the planet, the Dogon. The Dogon live in southeastern Mali in villages scattered over the rocks of Bandiagara like bird nests. They consider themselves aliens from the planet Sirius B and have knowledge in the field of the structure of the solar system, which scientists became aware of only at the end of the 19th century. Together with the hunter Assama and his family, the author gradually comprehends the multifaceted palette of Dogon life.

The earthquake began on December 7, 1988. No one could yet understand what had happened, but suddenly, at one moment, the telephone connection of the Armenian capital with Leninakan, Spitak and a number of other small towns and villages was interrupted. The entire north of Armenia has practically fallen silent, and this is 40 percent of the entire territory of the republic with a population of one million people. This film is about the life of ordinary people 13 years after a terrible disaster.

What would be the shortest route between the Mesopotamia in Argentina and China's Shanghai? Since these two places are antipodes in relation to each other, then they would be the most common straight line drawn through the center of the Earth. Viktor Kosakovsky had to circumnavigate the globe three times to make the film Long Live the Antipodes, a look at a world in which people live at opposite ends. Kosakovsky visited four such diametrically opposed points, and everywhere he searched for deep connections between such different worlds. The vertical axes are drawn between Argentina and China, New Zealand and Spain, Siberia and Chile, Hawaii and Botswana. Like a kaleidoscope of bright pictures of our planet, the film was the answer to the main question, so who are they, our antipodes? And are we that different? The author's conceptual point of view reveals deep connections between people and landscapes located as far as possible from each other.

Wukwukai is 72 years. For 72 years he has been living in the depths of Chukotka. This is a powerful and wise old man, a man of the Tundra, his life is inseparable from a deer. The Wukvukai clan herds a huge herd, more than 14 thousand heads. The life of the clan is a constant struggle for survival and well-being in the most difficult conditions of Chaun-Chukotka. These people deeply believe in the power of tradition and therefore are successful in their struggle. They are kept by the ancient culture of the Chukchi reindeer herders, they live by it and preserve it. As long as this is so, their world is unshakable. This is the truth of old Wukwukai.

One of the oldest Siberian tribes lives there for centuries. Its traditions, culture and life in harmony with nature were brutally destroyed by the Soviet regime. Since the collapse of the USSR, they have been trying to survive, missing the wisdom of their ancestors and hope for the future. One of the last sources of life and tradition of Chukchi is whale hunting, but the fate of this old tradition is also threatened. For the Chukchi people, the whales give hope to survive the next winter. When the land of Lorino warms up from the sun, the hunting begins. It is a battle between two worlds, and each of them is on the edge of disappearing forever.

In Chukotka, on the coast of the Arctic Ocean, people live, cut off from the whole world. Their life revolves around hunting walruses and whales and protecting villages from bears coming from the tundra. This turns the film into a meditation on death. Marine animals are the main source of food for humans; skins and offal are used to feed arctic foxes on a fur farm; human cemeteries become food for bears. All inhabitants of these places are involved in the cycle of food and death. The film departs from the usual rhythmic structure of cinema, being built on the principle of a shamanic ritual, a meaning-forming event for the northern peoples.
