One for the whole village, or unauthorized isolation. The last inhabitants of the village of Olkhovka in the Tuimazinsky district. Such heroes were previously only in Soviet cinema. But the difference is that these are not actors, but real people. So original, living in some kind of amazing unity with nature. And they do not play, but live, sincerely and generously share their emotions: cry and laugh, inspire and charge with their incredible energy, desire to live.

The film is dedicated to two cameramen and one director, Verigo-Dorovsky, Leopold and Friedrich, and Alexander Vladychuk during the period of silent cinema. Leopold is the grandfather of the author of the film, and Friedrich and Alexander are cousins. The life of the Verigo-Dorovskys began with the fact that their grandfather, Jan, was deprived of the nobility during the Polish uprising, although they were Germans. Later, their grandchildren, Leopold and Friedrich, came to Moscow. Here they studied at German educational institutions, and then became cameramen. They own the shooting of V. Lenin and a number of art paintings. Alexander Vladychuk was an artist, he shot several documentaries and one feature film, "White Gold", in Turkmenistan. With this he came to Leningrad. In Ashgabat, Vladychuk will be removed from the cinema. He erected a monument to Lenin, carried out an endless run with the team on the wheelpedes of his own design Ashgabat-Moscow. His hand belongs to the Coat of arms of Turkmenistan. Then, he will be put in jail for libel. He died there in 1942.

Cosmos and Paleontology is a visual essay on Ivan Efremov (1907-1972), a Soviet paleontologist and science fiction author. Before the 1957 launch of Sputnik—the first man-made object to orbit the Earth—Efremov had already written about humans traveling through interstellar space, recovering fossils in galaxies thousands of light years away. Cosmos and Paleontology interweaves this farseeing prose with archival and present-day material of persons, objects, and locations related to Efremov, such as the Paleontological Institute in Moscow, where he penned several short stories and novels. Cosmos and Paleontology explores Efremov’s ideas of deep space and deep time, combining prehistoric skeletons with cosmonaut relics, footage of dinosaur excavations in the Gobi Desert with Soviet cinematic adaptations of future space travel. At its core, Cosmos and Paleontology is a journey with a man who envisioned ancient Earth and the far reaches of the universe alike, defying the known limits of primordial life and death both in this planet and beyond.

Vladimir Martynov is a composer-philosopher, one of the first Russian minimalists, whose texts and music are inextricably linked. He says that more can be expressed in a few repetitive and only slightly changing patterns than in a work familiar to the traditionalist ear. He enters into a dialogue with young performers of electronic music. What will come out of this experiment? Each speaks of his own experience, in which sound, its form and its change, are common.

"The berserkers, dressed in bearskins, growled, shook their swords, bit the edge of their shield in rage and rushed at their enemies. They were possessed and did not feel pain, even if they were hit by a spear ... They killed people, and neither fire nor iron did not harm them. Such warriors were called berserkers."
