Who can say "mine" about Nabokov? Of course, those who love, remember, keep the memory of him: relatives, admirers, researchers. And who is he for others? A world-famous writer, the famous author of the American "Lolita" or a Russian refugee, a mysterious exile, whose life circumstances and overcomings lined up in patterns of exquisite creativity and an exceptional writer's destiny? How to get to know him better, how to unravel the codes of Nabokov's images? Perhaps the key is in his poetry.

According to scientists, more than 20% of the world's fresh water reserves are concentrated in Baikal. What is happening today with the world's largest storage of drinking water? Will we be able to save it? The answers to these questions are in the film, created with the support of the Russian Geographical Society. The study is based on a joint expedition of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Channel One.

STAROVERII/OLD BELIEVERS - is a story about the old Russians that began in the XVI century, when the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, supported by the Czar, imposed religious reforms in Russia. Those who have refused to obey were brutally persecuted and forced to seek refuge in Siberia or in faraway places. Many hidden in Europe, and some of them settled down in China, Japan, America and Australia. The Russian Old Believers Community that settled down in Romania is one of the most numerous. The film explores the extraordinary power of this community to preserve their language, customs and religion, finding in their faith in God the source of strength to resist. This film tries to render the patriarchal air of the medieval Russia, from which these people came.

Somewhere far away in the depths of a vast country on the banks of a large river there is a small Siberian village. You can't get here by train, you can't get there by car. In these places, time is well felt and eternity is seen in the cycle of simple things.

The film is dedicated to the history of the first in the history of the USSR foreign expedition of Soviet archaeologists to Egypt in 1961-1963. Amateur photo and film material, field diaries, as well as an unpublished manuscript of one of its participants found in personal and scientific archives, immerses us in the atmosphere of unique excavations, hopes, failures and discoveries of scientists.

Year after year, the Dutchman works and tries to arrange life in his district on the island. In the village where he lives, together with his friends, he organized and maintains a stable, monitors the cleanliness of nearby places and is very worried when "the wrong hay is brought in." But he doesn't complain, he works! And he does not even think about returning to his native flower paradise. What is it that captivates and what keeps the Dutchman in the harsh hinterland on the edge of Russia?

Kalymbetova Atyrkan, 68 years old, tirelessly works as the head of the feldsher-obstetric station # 10 of the family medicine center of the Jalal-Abad region of the Suzak district. She provides medical assistance to the population living in the villages of Ak-Bulak, Alchaluu and Ak-Terek. For the convenience of receiving medical services for patients, she has been working and living in a FAP for the last 3 years. Atyrkan Kalymbetova's work experience is 50 years.

In Shenzhen, China, lives a group of migrant workers known as the "Gods of Sanhe". How do these Gods of Sanhe live in this bustling metropolis, who have neither education nor skills and work only as temporary workers, “working one day and playing three days”?

Aleksey Didurov is a great poet, a wonderful prose writer, who created the Rock Cabaret back in the late 70s, thanks to which, without exaggeration, the whole country recognized him. Many of us found ourselves in the “victim-aggressor-savior” triangle, when it is so difficult to see the situation from the outside in time and stop playing the role of a function in this destructive scheme. The film says that no matter what terrible situation a person finds himself in, he must take responsibility for his life and boldly begin to act, love, live anew.

The film tells about the mysterious circumstances of the fire in the Utrish Reserve on August 24, 2020. The desperate struggle of people with the merciless element of fire. It turned out that higher authorities delayed the moment of assistance in extinguishing. However, self-organization of volunteers took place, a close-knit team stood up to protect the environment. According to eyewitnesses, the fire started in an unusual way and broke out very quickly. Many believe that it was deliberately set on fire to commercialize the land.

A dialogue about the memories that shape the characters in the film. Answering questions, the project participants return to their childhood, remember the brightest and darkest events of their lives. In each part, they make a choice to share their memory or keep these events to themselves.

The film is dedicated to the legendary Russian photographer Vladimir Bogdanov. He was born in 1937 and at the age of twenty-seven he gained European fame. Today, the eminent photographer has practically retired and spends his days in a remote village. The film is dedicated both to stories about the youth of the hero and his attempts to find an interesting subject for genre photography in the Russian outback.
