A story about the life and work of the Kharkov poet Boris Chichibabin. Having absorbed the origins of Russian and Ukrainian culture, he became a symbol of honesty, humanity and spiritual fortitude in all the vicissitudes of a bygone era. At the same time, the poet was always aloof from both the semi-official and the dissident highways, "in rebellious solitude." His poems, as he himself put it, always went “against the flow”.
