The documentary film tells about the little-known pages of the history of Crimea: the rescue of one of the masterpieces of the architecture of the peninsula, the Vorontsov Palace in Alupka, whose unique collection of paintings and crystal was preserved for posterity by the researcher S.G. Schekoldin. Risking his life, he played a long and dangerous game with the enemy, ensuring that not a single exhibit was removed during the occupation of Crimea by Nazi Germany in the period from 1941 to 1944.
