The documentary screens a video chronicle of the campaign of December 2018 National Assembly elections' two candidates. The main characters of the film are the local people whom the candidates meet on their way during the campaign, in this case the villagers of Armavir region, whose speech, behavior, presence and thoughts become the constructive pillar of the story. "December" lacks of classic plot and sequence. The black and white, neutral shots are divided into several subheadings and complete freedom of self-expression is given to the residents of the villages. There's been made an attempt to detect time and its up-to-date flow through the stranger's camera as much as possible.

In the early 90s of the twentieth century, a collection of engravings of Khakass rock paintings by the famous Siberian artist Vladimir Kapelko was illegally exported abroad. Estampages (prints on paper of ancient petroglyphs) were made according to the original method of Kapelko. They were given particular value by the fact that most of the drawings themselves have not been preserved. As a result of a special operation by the FSB, the collection returned to its homeland.

On January 28, 1982, the Moscow bohemia was shocked by the news, the authenticity of which was hard to believe, the head of the Union State Circus, Anatoly Kolevatov, was arrested. After all, he was friends with Shchelokov, the all-powerful Minister of the Interior of the Brezhnev era. And here is the “execution” article, bribery on an especially large scale. Allegedly, the head of the Union State Circus imposed a tribute on all circus artists. He accepted valuable gifts and money from them in exchange for foreign tours. During searches in the apartment and at the dacha of Kolevatov, valuables were seized for an unimaginable amount of two million rubles at that time. To take out all these "material evidence" investigators needed a truck.

According to the idea of the head of the SS, Heinrich Himmler, the Lebensborn houses were to become a place where unmarried women could secretly give birth to a child and leave him to be raised by the state. Under the slogan "Give a child to the Fuhrer!" German women were encouraged to give birth to "true Aryans". In reality, the program resulted in mass abduction and removal of children from the USSR and other territories occupied by the Germans to the Lebensborn houses. The film contains a story about the horrors of forced "Germanization" from the lips of living witnesses Vladimir Mazharov and Viktor Mukhamedov, who were brought from Germany to Moscow in 1947; Lydia Khodyreva from Alushta; Jewish girl Zinaida Nikodimova from Minsk, her mother was looking for her daughter in concentration camps, and found her in a shelter for Aryan children; former lieutenant colonel of the GDR army Michael Sturm, who found out about his "Lebensborn" origin only after the death of his parents.

The feature-length art documentary “Countryless and Queer ” captures traces of queer existence and intimate arrangements lived by non-privileged queers who navigate their experiences of migration in the city of Vienna. The film unfolds narratives of five queer migrants from contexts outside of the Global North which have been marked by gender violence, homophobia, economic instability, and social misbalance. Beyond narratives of damage, marginality is lived through and treated in the film as a space for emancipation and resistance – full of humor and joy, dignity and erotic, emancipation and struggle.

May one compare Putin to Hitler? Or Russia’s modern regime to Nazi Germany? How did Germans, who destroyed millions of lives and unleashed World War II, manage to turn their country into a thriving democracy? And, most importantly, does the future hold something similar for Russians after Putin and what will they go through on that path? Psychology has the five stages of grief model. A patient, who has just found out their fatal diagnosis, at first denies the inevitable. Then they go through the stages of anger, bargaining, depression, and only then they accept their fate. In the case of Germany, an entire nation is such a patient. It took decades for German society to heal. In search of a recipe for Russia, we went to Germany to talk to people who witnessed the changes and those who still feel their responsibility for their ancestors’ crimes.
