Pre-war Instagram is a monument to conservatism, a forced regression of the media, a look from the present into the past, which they are desperately trying to return. Russia is trying to return the past by banning the mediums of the present, social networks, instant messengers, and streaming services. The hero of the film, Valery Polienko, is trying to return the past by saving his posts from Instagram, creating a local copy of the data to which the author no longer has access.

The protagonist of the film is a man, father, son and husband rolled into one. This film is his honest and unbiased look at himself and the microcosm surrounding him, covering the geography from Omsk to the Californian coast of the USA. Each stop on this journey reveals the relationship of the hero with his wife, father and friend, and the audio book about meditation that accompanies him everywhere in the headphones becomes a kind of navigator that stitches the routine of the author's existence. The film ends in March 2018.
