Humanity founded cities and moved into them, and coastal villages began to die out. This is a film about the inhabitants of the five Russian rivers Angara, Volga, Don, Yenisei and Neva. Eight heroes who still live by the river and know everything about it.

Where did the Russian land come from? How did the Volga become a financial artery through which Arab silver flowed from Asia to Europe? Where to look for hidden treasures? And why did Ancient Russia look like a trading and financial corporation?

This series tells how foreigners, in a hurry to leave home, accidentally intervened in the course of the Civil War and almost changed the entire history of the country. The so-called "uprising of the Czechoslovak corps" in the spring and summer of 1918 led to the fact that the entire East was under the control of Russia's anti-Soviet forces. What was the Czechoslovak corps like, how did it fight in Russia, and what did the author of The Adventures of the Good Soldier Schweik, Yaroslav Gashek, have to do with it?

The Russian Revolution, called the October Revolution, radically changed the course of history. The entire twentieth century of Russia passed under the banner of the events that took place in October-November 1917. Without aiming to give historical and political comments, the authors of the film intend to thoroughly examine all the available facts and make a judgment on their reliability.
