Throughout history, people have sought to live near rivers. They provided water and fish, they carried out trade. But everything has changed. Humanity founded cities and moved into them, and coastal villages began to die out. This is a film about the inhabitants of the five Russian rivers Angara, Volga, Don, Yenisei and Neva. Eight heroes who still live by the river and know everything about it.
