Viktor Valerevich Mumikhotkak also known as „Mukha“, Yupik Eskimo from the hamlet New Chaplino (Chukotka, Russia), died tragically in 2012. Somebody stabbed him in his abdomen and cut off his fingers. In 2014, when young Alla Ukuma gave birth to her first son, her mother told her: „Last night I saw Mukha in my dream. He had come back in your boy. Let us name your baby Viktor.“ According to the local people, the dead can return to the realm of the living up to five times. This film essay on life, death and possible return poses the universal question: how do you confront your own end?

Volodia used to be a part of the crew in a Soviet ship abandoned in Argentina during the fall of the USSR. No state or organization agreed to take sailors in legally. They lost their citizenship and were left without documents... This is the convergence of people, torn apart by society, who builded a home on their own. A home without walls, roof nor windows: the streets. And with a common friend, Volodia. Sailor, actor, eternal student, trade unionist but above all things he is a nonconformist whose mission is to help others. During 7 years of shooting this documentary he introduced us to his Kafkaesque reality. Between sarcasm and hope, always smiling, always dignified, with the unreachable goal to return to the sea, Volodia begins a new life every day.

The film tells four personal stories of one Crimean Tatar family. Their story concentrates, as in a lens, the extensive experience of people living under occupation. The difficulties, which affect this family, are experienced by the larger community and evolve extreme emotions. The main motive of the film is not the regime and the occupation itself, but its consequences, how it affects the lives of ordinary people who simply want to live, to love and to have a family.

The name "Jordan" was chosen by her father in honor of the heroine of the novel "The Great Gatsby", so it seems as if Jo stepped out of the pages of Fitzgerald. After leaving her native New York 6 years ago, she immigrated to Russia. Now Jordan lives in Moscow with a guy from Kaliningrad, plays at the Center. Meyerhold and speaks fluent Russian. She is in love with the Russian theater, communicates with her family only via Skype and constantly drinks tea, which she never did in America. On tour, Jo has traveled all over Russia, in her free time she translates plays from Russian into English and performs with her own group Sauce Kefal in restaurants and bars in Moscow.
