In the film "Call of the Sea," there are two main characters. The first is a border guard from the FSB Border Control of the Rostov region, and the second is a fisherman. Through their storylines, the characters share how they found their calling, how important it is to work legally, and how their families support them. Though seemingly different, the two characters have a lot in common. Once they made their choice in favor of their profession, they never doubted the decision. Oleg, a border guard with a degree in ichthyology, decided to become a soldier and protect the borders of our country. In the film, Oleg talks about detaining poachers and how they harm the environment, as their nets destroy fish food sources, and if this isn't addressed, it could lead to an ecological disaster. Andrei, a fisherman, talks about how poachers hinder his work and why he chose the official, legal path of fishing. The film is about honor and dignity. A film about honor, honesty, and dignity.
