Deep in Russia, 4,763 km from Moscow, in the dark labyrinth of a boiler house, lives a woman whose voice has almost merged with the hum of machinery. This film is about a person as part of a world of iron and mechanisms, and their role within it. Time here stopped over forty years ago, and to reach the present, one must cross an old, abandoned bridge over the Ugryum River—the harshest river in Eastern Siberia. Around, there is only darkness and ice, yet thanks to the women here, warmth still exists, serving as a beacon for the rays of light that painstakingly pierce through the old windows.
