The film is dedicated to the life of the Soviet intelligence officer R. Burkhanov. Rakhim comes from a noble, wealthy Bukhara family. At the age of 20 of the last century, he studied in Germany, was fluent in German. During the Great Patriotic War, he was sent through intelligence agencies to the Germans for infiltration into the structures involved in Soviet Central Asia. Having passed inhuman tests, Burkhanov managed to get information about the agents that the Nazis threw into the USSR. After the war, Burkhanov was again sent to Germany for intelligence work, but was slandered, recalled and convicted, and served time in Vorkuta. In 1956 he was rehabilitated and until the end of his life he taught German at the Pedagogical Institute in Dushanbe.
