In spring, the apple orchards bloom in Kursk. Here live Asya and her stepfather Sergey, an employee of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant. They sense that trouble is looming over the city — air raid sirens sound more frequently, enemy drones appear near the nuclear plant, and a local eccentric artist predicts an impending apocalypse.
