To this day, the Malyshchitsky Chamber Theater has retained the principle of a free, democratic space, laid down by its founder, Vladimir Afanasyevich Malyshchitsky, who has already passed away. Now the theater has a different chief director, a new repertoire and young actors. On the basis of the production of the play "The Seagull" by A.P. Chekhov, a story is built about the life of this theater and today's theater, as a phenomenon in general.
