Latvian filmmaker returns to Riga to look after his ill Father. Instead of documenting his prolonged stay, he creates a sarcastically fictionalised and hard-to-define personal rollercoaster film, constructed from home videos, reinvented moments, funny improvisations, bright memories, social media interventions, and occasional observational footage accompanied by a written monologue. Real-life situations blend into scripted scenes and wicked interpretations in this snappy comical family diary.

Stubborn and grumpy ailing Talivaldis expected son Gunars to arrive only to his funeral. One day the cynical father wishes to look for the right way to the cemetery. Gunars aims to prove that he’ll be alright and asks massage therapist Maria to pretend to be his loving girlfriend.
