During the Soviet era, the naval space fleet was a source of national pride, symbolizing the technological ambitions of the country. However, it did not withstand the collapse of the Soviet Union. All the ships were scrapped, and the fleet was never restored. "The Cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev" is the only vessel that survived, but it no longer sails the seas.
