The first film tells about the childhood of Joseph Dzhugashvili, the fate of his father and mother, as well as his studies at the theological school and the Tbilisi Seminary. The second part is about Dzhugashvili's work in Baku, about his first wedding, as well as about numerous exiles and escapes from them. In the third film, the authors analyze various signs of Dzhugashvili's cooperation with the police, find out if there is documentary evidence for this. The film ends with Joseph returning to revolutionary Petrograd in 1917.
