In 1916, 26-year-old Boris Pasternak came to visit the family of the chemist Boris Zbarsky, who at that time was the manager of the Morozov plants. The impressions from the trip were included in Pasternak's lyrical poems and determined the further creative path of the writer. Perm became the prototype of the city of Yuryatin in the novel Doctor Zhivago.
