Asking questions about what “Russian identity” is, what such words as “Russian Empire”, “Soviet Union”, “serfdom”, “revolution”, “World War II” and “Great Victory” mean for us, the authors of the film are sent to the center of Moscow on May 9 and film random passers-by, inviting them to sing military songs. The most popular was Katyusha. People stumble, forget the words, laugh, rejoicing in the warm spring evening and the All-Russian holiday. Of course, they do not want to remember or repeat any horrors of the war. To understand the phenomenon of celebrating the Victory Day, the authors decide to talk about it with familiar philosophers and activists.
