The film is dedicated to the housing policy of Paris and its suburbs, where peach orchards stretched until the 20th century, and after that mass standard quarters appeared, in which most Parisians live. "Maison d'être" is not only a study of the urban structure of the outskirts of Paris, which today is going to be completely renovated, but also a sentimental journey into the world of special rituals that unite neighbors into one big family.
