The film tells about a simple resident of the village of Palauz, Sysolsky district of the Republic of Komi, Leonid Turyshev. For him, a horse named Sailor and a pig named Paul are best friends. And the life of these friends is organically woven into his life. He perceives the death of a pig as a great personal tragedy.
