On December 27th 2019, the Parliament of Montenegro adopted a bill to seize all church property from the Serbian Orthodox Church. Hundreds of thousands of people in Montenegro stood up their Church and joined in for a conciliar prayer led by Metropolitan Amfilohije (Radovich). The Metropolitan, together with his people, built or restored over 700 churches and monasteries during his tenure. Through the line of life of Metropolitan Amfilohije, we want to tell the story of the suffering of the Serbian people. About life and monasticism in Montenegro. Unexpectedly for all of us, this “pastor of the people” died from the coronavirus. But his prayers have been heard. On the fortieth day after the Metropolitan’s repose, the government amended the draft law on the Church. That means that there will be no further schism.
