He was predicted the glory of Aivazovsky, but the war made its choice. The dream of the Feodosia schoolboy Vitya Korobkov to become an artist overnight turned into a dream to liberate his native land from the invaders. He joins the ranks of the people's avengers in the rear of the Crimea. Together with his father, they went to the Feodosia partisan detachment, were taken prisoner together and were shot by the Gestapo. Vitya fought for the liberation of the Crimea from the Nazis, and died heroically on March 9, 1944 in the Gestapo dungeons after excruciating torture. A few days before the execution, the pioneer Vita Korobkov turned fifteen years old.
