The project “History of Moldova” was created on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon. The three-part film tells about the events that took place over millions of years. The researchers begin their story from prehistoric times, when the territory of modern Moldova was covered by the Sarmatian Sea and complete the story with the declaration of independence of the former Soviet republic in 1991. Famous historians and archeologists from Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria became the consultants of the film.
