The film is a tribute to the most prominent figures in the world of documentary. For a long time, the famous documentary filmmaker Marina Goldovskaya has been interviewing her fellow filmmakers, the pioneers of American documentary filmmaking. Her interlocutors were Richard Leacock, Albert Meisles, Robert and Ann Drew, Chris Hegedus, Jonas Mekas, Allan King, D.A. Pennbaker, Michael Rubbo and others. All of them tell about the making of films that today are considered classics in documentary film history. We also have the opportunity to attend workshops by people whose experience is a source of inspiration for many.
