The film tells about the house manager Tatyana Radzievskaya. On the shoulders of this woman lay the difficult duty of the "mistress" of the house, located in the old district of St. Petersburg. The comic story of a house manager who is dissatisfied with everything gradually develops into a personal drama. After all, all relatives and the real home of the heroine are not in St. Petersburg. And she could have left a long time ago, to live in the village, but she is not ready to leave the tenants who have already become her family, painfully familiar and beloved entrances.
