The film is dedicated to Grigory Frid's mono-opera The Diary of Anne Frank, one of the most performed modern operas in the world (according to Operabase statistics). It was written in 1969; it was practically never performed in the USSR. And in the West, the "Diary of Anne Frank" has been constantly returning for more than 40 years. The opera is performed at a variety of venues, not only on theater stages, but also, for example, in the Austrian Parliament or the Washington Holocaust Museum.
