On May 3, 1957, the first train with Karachays returning from deportation arrived at home. For 14 years, people fought for the right to return to their homes. How did the people live all these years, how did they educate the younger generation, how did they preserve their cultural values, their language in a foreign land? All this is told by the protagonists of the film, people who know firsthand what separation from their homeland is and what the triumph of justice is.
