Journey to Chisty Dor, a small village in the Vologda region. Writer Yury Koval lived in it exactly 50 years ago. That country no longer exists, the villages have been empty for a long time, but have the people changed? Is it possible to meet amazing Shukshin "freaks"? Ordinary peasants and village philosophers? Yes! Such people became the heroes of this film. Vyacheslav earns extra money where he can, drinks and tells fables that he believes in with pleasure. Alexander Vladimirovich is a Slavophile, an Old Believer, a hermit who dreams of building a religious community and lives in a bathhouse. But first he needs a house (and it has been under construction for 20 years). The house is another hero of the film, which connected the "man" and the "philosopher". "Deeds Deep" is a film about completely different people who talk about different things and in different ways, but they are trying to do one thing, and about what comes out of it.
