In the film the director answers the accusations against Marina Tsvetaeva. After the opening of the poet's archives in 2000, for the death of her youngest daughter Irina, streams of mud fell on Tsvetaeva. On the basis of letters, diaries and archival documents, the film participants reveal step by step the life of Tsvetaeva from 1917 to 1922.
