This is a film about one of the most tragic pages in the life of contemporary Europe. March 24, 1999 was an atrocious day in the history of the former Yugoslavia. 18 years ago what had been peaceful Belgrade turned into inferno. The city suffered 78 days of bombings, 543 dead soldiers, 138 policemen and over 2,000 civilian casualties. The war, which we only saw in the news stories, became an everyday reality for millions of people in Yugoslavia. This was the first military intervention in the history of the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance without a UN mandate. Violating the international order, NATO attacked Yugoslavia from the air. Continuous bombings resulted in thousands of people becoming victims who would later be labelled as collateral damage of the undeclared war…
