Alex and Gala are an LGBT family. They are lesbians, but Alex prefers the pronouns he/him. He is Russian and she is Ukrainian. They used to live in Moscow, but when the war broke out, they decided to go to Ukraine. With their cat in a carrier and suitcases in their hands, the three of them including Gala's mum, crossed the frontline on foot. After spending more than a year under bombardment in Kharkiv, they went first to Moldova, then to Spain. And now they are trying to find a home in Germany, dealing with documents, learning the language, furnishing their room and travelling through neighbouring villages. No one and nowhere was happy for them, but they were happy for each other. Alex and Gala have overcome a lot together. The film shows what made it possible for them.
