In the mountains of the Abakan ridge in the Siberian taiga lives a unique hermit Agafya Karpovna. She is the last of the Lykov family of Old Believers. Many have heard of their story. Back in 1936 the Lykov family settled in the deep taiga far from people. Geologists "discovered" the Lykov family in 1978. At that time, the family consisted of a father and four children. When meeting people they were at first very scared, but then they nevertheless made contact and began to tell the guests about their way of life. It turned out that they themselves weave clothes and weave shoes from birch bark, while everyone can read and write, however, in the Old Church Slavonic language. It turned out that the Lykovs lead a deeply religious lifestyle, which at one time became the reason for their departure to the taiga.
