Life in St.Hiob's Russian Orthodox monastery in Munich is full of routines and monotony. In the summer of 2023 it gets disturbed by Dasha, an atheistic girl from Russia, and Rahul, an Indian boy, – two absolute aliens to the Orthodox community in search for answers to questions about isolation and death. Starting from an observational documentary, it becomes an intimate and personal story about life in a world where time has stopped. A collection of conversations about death, love and destiny giving an insight into the mindset of monks that dedicate themselves to God but still manage to remain humans – kind and lighthearted.

But at the very least, they must be made to laugh. They are children, after all. A troupe of highly skilled “special forces clowns” from the charity foundation Doctor Clown travels between temporary refugee shelters across the Rostov region and discovers that sometimes very little is needed for happiness.

Sasha grows up, and the moment comes to leave the Russian house. Saying goodbye to this place, Sasha, together with other residents, tries to figure out which place can be called home and determine whether he is French or Russian.

Over the 20 years of its existence, Top Nine has won many Russian and international competitions, including the largest Battle of the Year championship, created several theatrical productions, brought up more than one generation of students, became a model of style and an example of what a team should be like. How is war experienced on an everyday level? What are the experiences of those who lost their homes, past and future? The three heroines of the film do not know each other and belong to different generations. Still, they tell their stories to the viewer in dialogue as if continuing each other's stories. The film also includes photographs from the protagonists' home archives. Nastya, 23, was born in Mariupol and worked as a schoolteacher's assistant. During the siege of Mariupol, she lived with her mother for more than a month without any contact with the rest of her family, then they managed to leave the occupied part of Ukraine via Russia for Finland. The second heroine, Svitlana, was born in Mariupol in 1973. She spent more than two months in the cellar during the siege of the city. Then she, her mother and their dog left Mariupol through Russia for Europe. Svitlana's son, who was one of the defenders of Azovstal is still a war prisoner in Russia. The third character, Elena, is 71 years old and has three daughters and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elena lived in a private house with a garden on the outskirts of Kharkiv. The war started and Elena spent three weeks in the cellar of her house, almost without going outside. Water and food were scarce. She observed the destruction of the house and the garden by shell and bomb fragments. Fortunately, Elena managed to escape to Finland via Russia with her eldest daughter and their kitten. The film tells the stories of the women protagonists, their experiences of trauma and their attempts to find a new place in Europe. But all that is dear to them remains in their home country: their relatives and friends, their household and their normal life, which will never be the same again...

What remains when war takes everything away? Near the front line, in Rubizhne, a mother, a father, and their 14-year-old daughter Sonya search for an answer through selfless care for animals and people. Their love for their homeland keeps them from leaving. They have taken in a herd of cows and share milk, as best they can, with elderly people who remain in the frontline zone. Sonya becomes a volunteer, delivering milk and bread to those in need while dreaming of a peaceful future. Can they preserve their faith in kindness and hope for a better life amid the horrors of war?

Unbreakable, able to take any given shape, recyclable, and therefore an environmentally friendly material. So who is right? Those who think plastic is evil, or those who say it's good?
