The film tells about the life of two schoolgirls on the threshold of adulthood. One is a native Muscovite, from a large family, who dreams of finding herself; the other is the only child in the family, lives in Orenburg and wants to leave there. Separated by distance and different social status, they very similarly go through experiences familiar to any teenager.
