Valentin, a 94 year old artist, participates in the opening of his first author exhibition. He has a lot of doubts and insecurities to start, but his granddaughter, Julia, comes from Boston to make his dream come true. While working on the exhibition, Julia learns more things about her grandpa and starts to look at him differently. This is only one of the steps for the artist and his family to take, before they unravel his story even more. Meeting old friends, having first experience of going public, touching on the wounds of the past, all those things Valentin takes with pride. He does not know what to expect, and just follows the lead from Julia.
