In 2019, my grandfather passed away and was buried in his hometown in the Luhansk region. My mother and grandmother promised to bring a gravestone to his relatives soon after. After waiting through the pandemic and the outbreak of war, my mother, grandmother, and I are finally traveling to the Luhansk region to install a gravestone for my grandfather.
