In the village of Slavkovo in the Tver region, Valery Leonidovich Fomin has worked as a librarian for more than 30 years. Over that time, he created his own local history museum within the library. Built — and later restored by his own efforts after a fire — the museum has become a visible testament to how one person can resist oblivion, patiently collecting fragments of the past and preserving the tangible image of a disappearing time. Yet a new era continues to reshape both life itself and our perception of the past and the future.

This film tells about Ruslan Nikolaevich Stupnikov, the head of the Kalinka children's film studio, which existed in the city of Kashin from 1982 to 2011. The studio was founded in 1982, where more than three thousand children studied at different times. Being the permanent head of the studio, he made films together with children and youth, which reflected various events in the city and the region.
