She graduated from the French School and the School of Performing Arts in Helsinki and the University of Oxford with a bachelor's degree in French literature. Entered the documentary film directing workshop at VGIK.
Two guest workers came to Finland for easy money. The goal of Misha, a worker from the small Ukrainian town of Konotop, is to earn money for apartments so that he can rent them out and no longer work. Colonel of the Soviet army from Lithuania, Sergei Fedorovich, needs to put his pride, Land Rover, in order, and he also wants adventures in retirement. But they didn’t get very well on the summer estate of emigrants in 1918 from St. Petersburg. Martti's mission is to restore the buildings of the estate and thereby resurrect the memory of his grandfather. Martti's young daughter Anna decides to make a film about it.
