Окончила Высшие курсы сценаристов и режиссёров в качестве режиссёра игрового кино (мастерская Павла Лунгина и Ирины Волковой). Обучалась в Московской школе нового кино.

Yena lives with her three children in a hastily built house in the mountains of Adygea. Perhaps the decision to move away from her husband was too hasty. But the way back seems longer than it really is.
