This is my journey from material fences to metaphorical fences through my three homelands – Afghanistan, Russia and Ukraine in an attempt to answer the question: "Who creates fences?"

Swallowtails in science fiction is the division of time into several streams, each of which has its own actions. In parallel time-space, the characters have different lives.

Big Clay #4, a 12-meter sculpture by Swiss artist Urs Fischer, was installed in Moscow in August 2021 and caused a mixed reaction. Gradually, the Russian context supplemented the work with two new parts - thus, from a single work, Big Clay turned into a triptych. And into a metaphor of the country.
