The plot of the film is based on a story told by the author's grandfather. The Germans, having shot all the chickens in the village, are hunting for the last little chicken, which is very cunning and agile. Every time the Germans try to catch her, she manages to fool them. Most of all, this little chicken loves to hide under a big tractor box. This reliable large shelter becomes for her a real fortress.
