The film-essay is dedicated to the German documentary filmmaker Colin Ross, who was born on June 4, 1885 and committed suicide on April 29, 1945. Enlightener, traveler, prolific writer, most popular journalist: for a long time cinema was not his main area of interest. But in the 20s of the 20th century, Colin Ross suddenly played a key role in G. W. Pabst’s film Secrets of a Soul, and later made four travel films, forever writing his name in the history of world cinema.
