Where was Pushkin actually born? To answer this, we must visit the famous addresses of the former German Quarter in Moscow. One such location is the building of school No. 353 at Baumanskaya Street, 40. For a long time, it was believed that this was Pushkin's birthplace, and there is even a memorial plaque commemorating this. However, this plaque was originally moved from another house, No. 57, on the same Baumanskaya Street. The plaque was unveiled in 1927, in honor of the poet's 128th birthday.
